My Pre K classroom is full of energetic, fun loving 4-5 year olds. We are in need of 2 WOBBLE chairs, 3 Flex-Space floor seats, and some colorful stools to use for alternative seating in our classroom. Children need to move! Alternative seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow, and core strength. The bouts of physical activity in the classroom provided by alternative seating encourages students to become engaged, stay on task, and have improved performance. There are so many benefits to alternative seating in a classroom. Children simply can not sit in rows of desk all day. We need alternative seating options to help me channel the energy and liveliness of my classroom into a fun educational environment conducive to creativity and learning.
