I will be teaching a Read 180 class for the first time. Read 180 is a great program that I know will help my special education students thrive. My goal is to make my classroom as relaxed and enjoyable so my students look forward to coming to Read 180 daily. Come in, sit and enjoy a good book!! I chose bean bags for my independent reading area to allow for a relaxing setting while students are enjoying a good book. The Amazon e-readers will allow my students to read while using technology. The e-readers have built in dictionaries and helps with pronunciation. they have the choice to listen to the book or read silently. I also chose the Scholastic subscription to allow my students to understand on their level what's going on around the world. The activities, computer component and guided activities are beneficial for student growth.
