We are requesting a subscription to Art by Scholastic Magazine which will keep the students inspired to read about art history and stay current with modern art. Learning about famous artists and why paintings are important in the arts. Students will be engaged and use their senses, express emotion, explore process and outcomes, explore color, and can use what they learned to create their own art work. Students will read about famous artists and begin writing argument essays and narratives about what they learned. Students will be engaged by reading the monthly magazine that is rich in content and material. They will be inspired to embrace their originality and try to become artists themselves. The magazines are excellent for teaching art history. Students will show what they learned by writing creatively and sharing it with their peers.
