My second graders are enthusiastic learners and like flexible seating chooses. They may choose from sitting or laying on the carpet, sitting on stools, standing at tables, sitting under tables and sitting in chairs. I would like to give them the choice of balance chairs. I feel that this would allow them to have movement while being able to learn and complete the assignments. I have noticed significant differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their table.
