My students will be able to learn about the brain in a hands-on lesson. They will get to put themselves in the place of a scientist, doctor, researcher, etc. and make the learning come to life. Many of them want to pursue fields related to anatomy and biology; this will give them an opportunity to explore their future interests. By providing them with a real brain to dissect, label, and discuss, my students will be able to apply all of their learning throughout the unit. It is not enough to just look at diagrams of the brain, I want them to be able to see it, cut it, and explore it.
