Just imagine the look on a young child's face when they have the book they picked out in front of them, and they are curled up in a comfy spot ready to settle down to read. That will be the face of pure joy, and content. These materials will allow my students to continue to foster not only their love of reading, but also feel at home while doing it. Over the last couple of years I have realized that students need more than a good book, but to also feel comfortable as they are reading. My goal this year is to have as many comfy spots for my students as possible, so that my classroom independent reading culture feels like they are at home in bed with an amazing book.
