We all learn in different and unique ways. Using a variety of strategies and resources are important when teaching any academic concept. The tablets will be used as an independent small group station (center). The students will rotate between four small groups each day during our reading and math block. For example, one group will work on reading skills with the teacher, one group will work on phonics skills with the assistant teacher, one group will work in our reading framework (Daily 5) stations and one group will work on building reading skills via educational websites on the tablets. The same schedule will be used with math groups. Reading and math are the most essential skills we will learn in our lifetime. Providing my students with a variety of ways to grasp each skill/concept will help ensure their educational needs are being met.
