My students have moderate to severe disabilities. Some live in a low-income area within the district. As a teacher, I try to provide them with as many educational opportunities as possible to increase their independence. Flexible seating options allow the students to have better focus, foster creativity, and critical thinking skills. By funding my project, I can offer them multiple places to sit (beanbags, stools, stability ball chairs, and wobble seats), instead of the standard metal chairs. These chairs will be placed around the room in various places. Some chairs will be used around small groups tables or as an alternative seating option at large group instruction. Please consider funding my project!
