I have the privilege of teaching twenty six thoughtful, driven and curious learners in my 4th/5th grade classroom with my co-teacher this year. Being in an inclusive co-taught setting, we have the opportunity to learn from one another through a student centered classroom based around collaborative learning. In my classroom, I want students to feel empowered, valued, and driven to reach their full potential. I teach in a diverse community in Manhattan. In my school, we teach students from all five boroughs with a variety of backgrounds and experiences, which has fostered a unique school experience centered around the celebration of our differences. My school is also considered a Title 1 school, which serves low-income families.
