Transition time in a classroom is very important. Nothing kills the flow of an activity more than the dreaded shouts of, “I can’t find my glue stick!” It’s like an avalanche of complaints and needs after that. In 2nd grade my students are 7 and 8 years old. As much as I want them to be responsible and organized, it’s just not always the case. As an adult, I have trouble myself. My goal is to teach them organizational skills that are appropriate for their age. My students need these seat sacks to help them keep their materials organized and to limit the temptation of playing their supplies. These seat sacks can help, and I would get the added bonus of the kids having less disctrations ay their fingertips.
