Children enjoy watching demonstrations which have a profound effect on their learning. These materials will help to provide a visual to the children about the importance of proper hand hygiene which decreases the spread of illness. The additional items will provide comfort and education to the children in the Health Office taking a mental break from class or while waiting to be dismissed. As a Resource Nurse for my district, I want to educate as many students as possible. The various books listed can be transported between the locations, mainly the elementary and middle schools, to educate the children by offering books that appeal to them. Every encounter with a child in the Health Office is an opportunity to improve their health and well-being. Having these resources available to the children is vital to their overall health.
