A classroom setting with flexible seating will allow my students to chose their work space. By giving students choices, they are more apt to stay focused and get actively involved in learning. As an arts integrated school, we approach learning in a less traditional style that has proved to give our students a better opportunity at succeeding and meeting goals set by both the school and county. Flexible seating in the classroom will not only match our teaching style but will also help students who are hindered by the distraction of being uncomfortable in their work environment. Students will be able to use the portable lap desks to move within the classroom to a spot that best supports their learning. The wobble cushions will serve as seating for the portable desks to keep active students from distracting others while still being able to engage in movement. The wobble stools will serve the same purpose of giving students freedom to move without distracting other learners.
