The materials I am requesting will allow students to read up on consumers perception on animal agriculture. I believe that these students can and will benefit from reading a controversial agriculture industry book. Their views will be challenged and they will have to look at consumers views on animal agriculture from a much different perspective. I believe that in order for us to close the gap between producers and consumers, the students/producers need to see what consumers actually believe/think about the industry. Since we are brand new agriculture program we have nothing... A neighboring FFA Chapter donated old textbooks, which helps tremendously. However, I want my students to be able to read an actual book in class. Not a textbook, an actual reading book!
