As an inspired new teacher, I hope these materials will start off the year with an encouraging and engaging welcome. They mainly consist of books, and a few basic needs for the classroom, such as the pencil boxes. The pencil boxes will be used to store their writing and coloring tools. As a teacher, I hope to postively influence and create opportunities for my students to love reading. The students are still at the age where they are learning to read. Therefore, it is crucial that they love reading before they reach the stage of reading to learn. The books will do just that since they will have access to different genres and content. They will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy them during their daily designated reading time in class. When the students are showcasing their work, it will be displayed proudly around the classroom by using the borders and colorful cardstock papers. To promote self-confidence and ownership of the classroom, the walls will be covered with their hard work.
