I want to INSPIRE my kids to love writing! We will be starting an interactive writing center. The file boxes will be used to store all the different types of writing they are to work on with examples. This will be teaching them to work independently. Students will have a tracking sheet and will be responsible for doing all the types of pieces (poetry, newsletter, letter, etc.) Benjamin Franklin said, "Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember, Involve me and I learn." The 10-drawer rolling cart will be used to involve them and help them learn with hands-on math activities. I believe when students have a hands-on experience, such as building a number with base-10 blocks, using dice to play different addition or multiplication games, it helps them to retain the skill.
