My students are wonderful artists and each year a theme that we cover is nature. Throughout the year, we draw trees, insects, flowers and leaves within different art projects. Sometimes I am able to bring in specimens for my students to observe, but most of the time my students rely on photographs and digital imagery for inspiration. With the addition of Sketch Pad Boards, my students will be able to leave the art classroom and document nature from observation. The Sketch Pads will allow my students to draw elements from nature up close and from real life. Not only will this tool let my students draw what they see, it will let my students leave the classroom and enjoy nature in the process. These Sketch Pads will be used by every student from Kindergarten to 6th Grade.
