After the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, students essential needs were number one on the list of things we needed to provide. Surviving the emotional and mental toil was tough. My project will fill in the gaps of needs within the classroom that students need on a daily basis for learning. I have included flexible seating options to help keep focus in my classroom. I have also included classroom fiction and nonfiction paired reading books for more literacy variety. I made sure to include earbuds in my project, because we use Chromebooks on a daily basis and they are essential so that my students can listen to the assigned supplemental videos. Many of my students to not have the resources to travel very far from home, so I have also included maps and pictures of a variety of places so that they can see different areas of the world. I also made sure to include motivational supplies with hopes to reach more students. Some of them need a little "push", and with your help, I feel like we can make this happen!
