My students are all reading below their specific grade-level. The use of iPads makes it easier for them to integrate into the classroom. Our new on-line platform for our reading program has the ability to read stories to the students on the iPad. This is huge because being able to hear fluent reading will increase their confidence when participating in classroom discussions. Historically, my students do not like reading. I am hoping the iPads are able to increase their motivation to read. In return, this will make them better readers. If they are able to stay motivated, they will learn to enjoy reading.
