Washington, D.C. is our nation's capitol and the backbone of American politics. Visiting historical landmarks and museums can offer our students a chance to experience our country's culture firsthand. All students should be provided with the equal opportunity to travel outside of their neighborhood in order to experience the rich culture of America. The debate team will visit the Smithsonian Museum, Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial. They will also go to University of Maryland for their first college tour. This trip will offer the students insight into the development of our country, in addition to showing them the benefits of college.
