The fun and interactive materials that I have chosen, like alphabet learning locks, Let's Go Fishing Math centers and the math activity center, help to motivate students with special needs to learn. These items also increase generalization skills which many of my students struggle with. My students also require help to learn play skills that typical students learn naturally. The doctor kit and cash register can help to teach these play skills so that they can interact more with typical peers in the after school program we have. Sensory items are also necessary for the students in my classroom. These items help to calm our students so that they can sit and attend better during learning activities.
