By implementing techniques for proper pen hold, and the fundamentals of height, space, ascenders, descenders to understand that every letter has an entry and exit stroke, writers will become confident and will even find delight in creating their very own handwriting style. With a new table and manipulatives at the ready to use for spelling, students will explore word roots, patterns, and begin to respond with vigor to our Structured Word Inquiry Lessons. These writers will begin to see themselves as true authors and illustrators. We will use these materials to aid us in the process of becoming life-long writers. I have done research and reading on fundamental principals of Real Script and Real Spelling and the effectiveness of spelling out word sums. I am excited to implement proven strategies and need your support to make this a reality for all learners. Thanks!
