Our theatre students are eager to learn every aspect of production and set building is one of the biggest. The students will be engaged in the building of two large set designs next year for two amazing musicals. They will be a part of the process, which is a huge part of what makes our theatre run. After set building, students have a sense of purpose with the knowledge and experience needed to build again the next theatre season and take what they've learned into the future to their college theatres and beyond. The tools needed for "Hands on a Hardbody" and "Les Miserables" set builds are a table saw, circular saw and power drills. We do not own power tools that work in our scene shop and this will give us a nice base to begin building and teaching our theatre kids the process. We appreciate the interest in theatre and know that with the help of this project, our shows will look incredible, our kids will work with safe, quality tools and our sets will be amazing!
