These materials will be used to help my students combine their love for movement and music in a creative way. There is a direct connection between music and exercise. This is evident any time you step into a fitness center and see everyone listening to music. These fitness balls and drum sticks will be used to create an interactive PE lesson that teaches the students about fun ways to move their bodies as well as the rhythm and timing that it takes to make music. The fitness balls will be made stationary by placing them into 5 gallon buckets (that we already have). The class will then participate in a cooperative activity that challenges them to create a musical/movement choreography.
