My student is bright, humorous, and frustrated. He wants to talk but is non-verbal. I have researched apps, such as Predictable, Verbally Premium, and ClaroCom Pro. These programs will give my student a word bank to use with predictable text and the ability to save phrases and sentences he uses often. The best programs seem to be made for Apple products. An iPad mini will be small enough that he can carry it with him wherever he goes. The reason for 2 iPad minis is so friends, teachers, and family can communicate the same way to help him understand that this technology can be his voice.
