My students need these board games and books to help them understand how to use money to its best effect. I am applying to receive books that sound interesting and engaging, and are age appropriate. These will serve as a valuable introduction to economic concepts at a critical stage in my students' development. Also, the board games will be a fun way for them to put their financial understanding to the test in real-world scenarios, where they can learn the consequences of financial decisions first-hand. These resources would also help us meet our state's Social Studies Standards for Financial Literacy, in teaching students about earning income, buying goods and services, saving, using credit, financial investing, and protecting and insuring.
