I am asking for sensory room resources including a carpet, bubble floor tube, bean bag chairs, lights, fidget bands, and rest mats. This sensory room will be in the back room of a special education resource room that is used by all the special education students at my school. The room will be a place for students to go when they need time to themselves. I plan to create a calm space with materials for students to use when they are frustrated and overwhelmed. There will be blackout curtains to make the room dark. The lighting in the sensory space will be string lights to make it more calming. The students will be able to lay on mats, or sit in bean bags until they are regulated and ready to go to class.
