In our classroom, we think there is always room for improvement. We also believe in flexibility. The students are very creative with their writing, yet at times, the creative juices do not flow quite as freely in a hard plastic chair. They like to work on the floor, or in a hideaway corner to write or read. They also use an assortment of ways to write, from chrome books, pencil/paper, poster rolls, and whiteboards. Being creative in this way seems to bring them together, which is what they all need after being told to stay away from each other for so long. The supplies we have requested will help with different seating that will be more comfortable and amp up the assortment of ways we can creatively write. Almost all of my students like writing on the whiteboards, and if they had their own mini version it would be even more awesome. As writers, we have already made vast improvements, but being gifted with the requested supplies could only lead us down the road of more creativity.
