The flexible seating options can help satisfy the lack of choice that students report as experience. Since technology has become so prevalent in our classrooms, students would benefit from being able to sit comfortably with a Chromebook and work on an assignment while being able to utilize the various areas to collaborate, when necessary. It is my hope that the futon, bean bag chairs, and rug area will help students feel more comfortable working together, and strong classroom relationships will form. The investment in learning and ownership of our classroom can be achieved through this redesigning and implementation of choices for students.

About my class
