We need a classroom easel in order to bring my teaching materials to life! I LOVE to model reading and writing in my primary first grade classroom. We spend much of our day utilizing the Promethean Board to instruct through the use of technology with flip charts and computer software. But so much can still be said for those time-honored materials such as big books with large text that build fluency or large chart paper to make writing an interactive lesson. A large easel is ideal for displaying big books and chart paper. This easel will also help me engage students in interactive poetry and writing lessons as we write together. My students become excited when they can take the learning in their own hands and become independent.
