Two days before the school year started, I was switched to a TK classroom position. I have relied on the kindness and generosity of the other teachers who have temporarily loaned me supplies to utilize as centers for my TK students. However, they need their items back and I need to supply my kiddos with appropriate centers that will foster their number and letter recognition, artistic expression, engineering experiences, and more! The supplies listed such as a doodle board set, puzzles and building blocks, will give my students the opportunity to engage with materials that foster these core educational skills, as well as encourage the positive growth of their social and emotional development as well. A varied supply of centers will ensure that students get many opportunities to explore different concepts, and engage with materials in new and exciting ways. I want to prep my TK students for a successful year in kindergarten as much as I possibly can, and having such varied and exciting tools to explore with will help foster that growth. Giving my students an engaging and welcoming first year of school is so important to me, and these supplies will truly help me in shaping my students' into curious and creative individuals.
