These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. They get to visit the classroom library and choose good fit books for their reading book bags. They keep their book bags at their desks, and they get to enjoy the books that they have chosen if they are an early finisher for an assignment, and also during "read to self" time. We have "read to self" time daily, and my students look forward to that time of the day when they can choose a comfortable reading spot, and enjoy reading their good fit books. The best part about their books is the fact that they can read them independently! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and my students are thankful for the opportunities to read them. With these new books, my students will be able to choose good fit books that they can read independently at their individual guided reading levels. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. Research shows that the more a student reads, the better reader he or she will become. These books will continue to help my students grow stronger as readers. My students have already shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will help enrich their experiences by allowing us to have a classroom library filled with varying levels of books for them to choose from.
