My students love weaving. These sturdy wooden looms will give my students the opportunity to weave their own individual designs and explore color, pattern, design, and texture in addition to working on their fine motor skills. In our art room, we are learning about different cultures throughout the world. When we weave with these looms, we will also look for inspiration from weaving patterns from many different cultures! Since these are sturdy wooden looms, these can be used over and over again by many students at all grade levels and weaving skill levels. After the weaving is finished, students will be able to "tie" off their own weaving and take it off the loom. The opportunity to make this fine woven craft will be very exciting to each student.
