Our school library has limited materials for students to use. Especially in our nonfiction area. Many times my students only know how to research using Google. This is because we just don't have enough literature for them to find what they are researching. I am hoping to improve my classroom library to help with that. Specifically books on topics about animal adaptations, natural disasters and Arizona History would be useful in my classroom. I am also hoping to do a book study where every student has a copy of the book we are reading. This is very useful when they are writing about the characters and main idea. They need the book to cite and use quotes for their writing.
