My students need math manipulatives such as factor triangles, place value cards, a spinner, a rounding cube and more to develop skills in decimals, fractions, volume, place value, measurement conversion, multiplication, and division. This grant would provide Math supplies that will be utilized throughout the fourth, fifth, and sixth grade Special Education classes. The materials in this project will provide important hands-on learning that will encourage a deeper understanding of concepts. This opportunity to investigate on their own using manipulatives provides an opportunity that cannot be presented in any other way, verbal or written. These students need the interaction with the materials.
