My students are amazing. They come from an area of extreme poverty, gang life, and drugs, and yet they are some of the most resilient kids in the world. They absolutely love to learn, and since many of their home lives are so tough, school is where they get most of their positive experiences. Our school is public, and while it is filled with dedicated teachers it is lacking in funds. We do not, and have never had a computer in our classroom.
