My first grade classroom is in need of flex seating options to help meet the needs of all of my learners. I am looking to create a space to be used for learning, as well as a place for social interactions. A flex space comfy couch and two bean bag seats will create the perfect cozy nook for my students to relax, read, and escape the regular routine of my everyday classroom. This furniture was created by educators to support a wide variety of needs. It is easy to maintain and built to last. Research shows that students are more focused when given the option of flex seating arrangements. I am excited about the possibility of allowing my students the freedom to choose a comfortable workspace on their own. Whether it be sitting on the floor, at tables, or on a comfy sofa, flex seating offers something for everyone. My child-centered classroom would have another area to engage students to work in a calm space. Flex seating has been very successful in classrooms throughout my building.
