My students enjoy their daily silent reading and writing time. The boom box and books on CD will provide an additional opportunity for students, particularly my non-readers, to be engaged in listening to the story as they follow along in the book. After listening to the story, they will have the opportunity to write about and illustrate their favorite part of the story. They love our daily center time and will be so excited to add the listening station and books to their daily rotations. This will absolutely increase their excitement of reading!
