I want to make reading come alive for my students. By having a listening center in my room with a variety of books would help me do just that. Many of my students first language is Spanish so being able to hear books read in English everyday will certainly help learning English a little easier. It will also help make reading fun for all my students. I want them to go and experience things they may never get to in life through a good book. Reading is a very important skill my students need to be successful. Having a listening center would go a long way to promote reading.
