This project is to help fund the flexible seating in my 8th grade Language Arts classroom. With these items, students will have the option to choose the seat that fits their needs the most. Every option in this cart will be used by students on a daily basis. These seating options will be used to create a sense of agency in the students’ daily learning, giving them the opportunity to learn in a student based environment. I chose to add things like a couch and comfortable chairs because students do not always do their best work will sitting at a desk. Instead of using the sleigh desks and constantly talking from the front of the classroom, these seating options will allow me to create a student centered environment that focuses on their needs more than ever.
