There are so many benefits of using technology in the classroom. It increases student engagement, improves student retention, and benefits a range of learning styles. However, my low-income school does not have the resources or funding to provide the needed technology in every classroom. With this projector, students will be able to access technology and learn in a new way. There have been many times when I have come across websites that are both informative and interactive that would benefit my students. I have wished on many occasions that I could show them an interactive video related to a story read in class and math or science concepts. Although several of the students have special needs, they enjoy learning and the visual supports would help to increase their understanding of many concepts taught.
