Through the eyes of high poverty students, often from traumatic backgrounds, school is often the only safe place they know. As a teacher, my ultimate goal is to make my students feel as safe and as loved as possible during my time with them! Flexible seating options like wobble chairs and excercise balls will allow my students to learn in greater comfort. During guided reading, my students explore literacy in small groups and around the classroom, out of their seats. This project will allow my students to work comfortably both at my horseshoe table and spread out around the classroom.

About my class
