I want all of my students to feel safe and comfortable in my classroom. For some kiddos, school is the only place in their life where they can feel safe and loved. Students can't learn if they don't feel safe and comfortable in their classroom environment. In order to provide my students with the best learning environment possible, I need some materials that will help every student feel more "at home". The rug will be used to create a classroom community. Each day, students will sit here for morning meetings, lessons, and read-alouds. Exercise balls will be used for flexible seating in my classroom. Some students move constantly during the day. Exercise balls allow students to sit down, work, and be successful, while still being able to get out their wiggles.
