Students will be required to read independently each time we meet for class. Research shows that reading increases language acquisition exponentially, and will be an essential tool in my classes. The students will be able to use the books at their own pace to increase their language acquisition. I have chosen a variety of books such as, “La Chica Nueva” and, “La France en Danger les Secrets de Picasso” to pique student’s interests and to provide differentiated instruction based upon their needs and abilities. As their proficiency levels increase, they will be able to move on to more challenging materials such as, “Le Tresor”. Students will be required to read independently each time we meet for class.
