My students need graphing calculators to adequately master the material in the pre-calculus curriculum. We need a class set of 20, so everyone can learn how to use this technology. Additionally, they will be able to use these calculators on the SAT, which will help them feel more confident going into the math section. We need to replace our 5-button calculators with TI-84's so we can visualize all of the functions we are going to learn about in pre-calculus. My pre-calc. students are hard-working students who hope to take AP Calculus the next year, and they need the experience using this type of calculator before they get there.
