Place Value is a concept that many students struggle with. Once they tackle this concept, they are able to go further in the basic math operations. Many of my students have problems with regrouping in addition and subtraction. Hands-on tools are the way to help my students overcome their obstacles. These tools will also help the students acquire the vocabulary skills needed to move forward in math story problems. I want to help my students to have their writing leap off the page into awesome essays. The students need help with transition words, vocabulary and the writing format. As the students listen and practice with these hands-on tools, their writing will become more adventurist. These tools will make writing fun.
