I would like use these books in the beginning of the school year and throughout to emphasize important character traits such as respect, kindness, and tolerance to my students while engaging them in quality literacy activities which will expose them to rich vocabulary and imaginative stories. Help me to provide fun and engaging literature to teach meaningful lessons to my eager first graders! The rug and bins will help to organize these and other classroom library materials to create an inviting space in my classroom that encourages students' independent reading. I believe that teaching the whole child is an important part of my job as a teacher helping to send fantastic little people into the world.
