My goal with this Donors Choose is to provide the students in my classroom with adequate headphones to be able to fully engage in their learning without the distractions of their backgrounds. Currently the students in my 5th grade classroom can have somewhere between 2-3 other student's in their households in a 1-2 bedroom house and when they come off of mute to speak, it is very clear that their backgrounds are very loud and I know it is affecting their learning. It is a hard expectation for me to require the parents of my students to provide them with working headphones as most of my students are from low income households. It is my hope that with these headphones I will increase engagement and students' ability to hear my online lessons.

About my class
