Imagine being cramped into a room with 25 other people. There's not a lot of space, so the only place where you can work is sitting at your desk. How long could you work before you became bored? Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. Children NEED to be able to move around and have an active outlet without disrupting their learning. Kids of all ages are naturally active and without a way to constructively release energy, children can easily lose their focus or worse, become a classroom disruption. These materials will help ALL of my students become more successful. The wobble stools can be used as an alternative chair if needed and will allow students to sit at their desks but still allow for some movement. These will be extremely beneficial, especially for students that just need to get their 'wiggles' out. Wiggle cushions can be placed on their seats to provide sensory input, or on the floor to make seating more comfortable. These will help students to stay focus and sit still longer. Bouncy bands for chairs will allow students relieve their anxiety, hyperactivity, frustration, or boredom by quietly bouncing their feet while they work. A classroom rug is essential in every classroom. This will allow us to sit comfortably during our read aloud and classroom meetings. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
