My Early Childhood Special Education classroom consists of students ranging in ages 2-1/2 -5 1/2 years old. Even though this is a preschool setting, my students need to learn how to speak, socialize with others, follow directions, and learn academics. Each student is special and I teach each child based on their individual needs. I believe there is a great need to teach children how to socialize with others. With technology in demand, attention spans and socialization is at risk. I believe you are only as good as your tools. My mission statement is that I believe all children can learn through guidance, consistency, and most of all kindness.
