Having iPads available for my ESOL students will open a world of understanding for them. It will enable them to make real world connections and bridge the gap in their vocabularies. I will be able to provide visual information in an innovative way to help my students be successful. For students who have limited English skills, these resources will give them the opportunity to share their voice and access the curriculum in a meaningful way. We will use the resources to practice vocabulary, and access our online curriculum. The iPads will also enable students access to online books, they would otherwise not be able to interact with. Using authentic text in the context where they will see it most, is effective in helping strengthen their skills.
